Karelian Zoo

The love of nature is inseparable from the love of animals. Therefore, being able to support the diversity of fauna, in 2011 we founded the Karelian Zoo. The place was not chosen by chance. At a distance from large cities (the nearest one is Sortavala, 60 kilometers away), on the quiet picturesque shore of Lake Janisjärvi, surrounded by dense Karelian forests, we were able to create the most natural, but at the same time comfortable and safe habitats for our wards. During the construction of the zoo, we carefully preserved the local vegetation, and the natural terrain and reservoirs remained intact. After all, you can't create real value by destroying it.
